Background Eraser is built so that it doesn't need your data. This policy explains what the app and this website do — and, mostly, what they don't do.

Your videos and photos

All background removal and video processing happens on your device, using Apple's Vision framework and Metal. Your recordings, imported footage and photos are never uploaded to us or to any third party. Projects are stored locally on your device and you can delete them at any time. The app works fully offline.

What the app collects

The app itself contains no advertising and no analytics SDK. It does not ask for your name, email, or any account.

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. To validate subscriptions we use RevenueCat, which receives purchase receipt data and a random app-generated identifier — never your footage and never your Apple ID credentials. See RevenueCat's privacy policy and Apple's privacy policy.

What this website collects

This website uses no cookies and sets no trackers. If we measure traffic, we use cookieless, aggregate analytics that store no personal data and cannot identify you.

Permissions the app asks for

• Camera — to record video. Frames are processed on-device only.
• Microphone — to record audio with your video.
• Photos / Files — only when you choose to import or save media.
